Job summary

Indiana Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care Clinic on a casual/PRN basis. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating with the care team, and supporting staff as needed.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, PA RN license, and BLS; ACLS within six months is preferred. Wound care experience and outpatient clinic exposure are desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and record patient care per care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care with the health team.
• Direct and assist LPN, HBO tech, and nursing students in care delivery.
• Collaborate with the patient care team across disciplines.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Demonstrate ability to function as charge nurse when assigned.
• Provide age-specific care based on growth and development needs.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care.
• Coordinating nursing care in conjunction with other members of the health team.
• Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, HBO technician, and Nursing Students in rendering care to patients.
• Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team.
• Responding quickly and appropriately to changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life and identifies age-specific needs and plans care accordingly.

Required:

• EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years med-surg experience preferred
  • Wound care experience preferred
  • HBO experience preferred or attained within 2 months of hire (FT and PT only)
  • Experience in outpatient clinic setting preferred
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania
  • BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Wound certification preferred
