Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the West One Evening shift in Worcester, MA. This part-time role involves 24 hours per week, with a 2- or 8-hour schedule and weekend rotation.

The nurse will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, from admission through discharge, within a medium-difficulty clinical setting. Requirements include current Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and preferred BSN.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be required depending on unit.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
