Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Core Flex I Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care across the care continuum. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process with strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making.

The role requires working every 11 out of 12 weekends, with a weekend program and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants. Base pay ranges $46.94–$58.26 per hour plus weekend premium.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
• Reg Nurse License in the state of Illinois.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification (required for applicable specialties).
• PALS certification (required for applicable specialties).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in work and schedule.
• Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making ability.
• Advanced assessment, analytical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage complex patient populations across the care continuum.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Pay range for this position is $46.94 - $58.26/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Plus 40% premium for weekend program on top of base rate for all hours worked between 7:00pm Friday and 7:30am Monday.

Shift Differentials:

This is an 11/12 Weekend Program Position

Will float between our West-Central Illinois Market (WCIM) locations (Galesburg, Monmouth, and Kewanee)

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Core Flex I Registered Nurse provides expert, engaged nursing care aligned with their competencies, within an entity, including those with multiple campuses, within OSF HealthCare. The Core Flex I RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients using the nursing process.

The Core Flex I RN is a highly knowledgeable, autonomous professional who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, seamlessly to meet patient and organizational needs. The Core Flex I RN role requires advanced clinical competence, informal leadership capability, and provides safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients across the care continuum in diverse environments. This position requires working every 11 out of 12 weekends.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
  • Associate degree in nursing
• Experience:
  • 1 year of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Reg Nurse License in the state of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Care Life Support certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)
• Other Skills/ Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in work and schedule.
