Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced clinic. In this role you will provide hands-on patient care, support triage, collect specimens, and help maintain efficient clinic operations during 3-day, 12-hour shifts (8 AM–8 PM).

You’ll document patient histories in EMR (EPIC preferred), administer medications and injections, start IVs, and participate in occupational medicine services. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited RN program and Georgia RN licensure.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software; EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; ensure comfort and information.
• Perform triage and take vital signs accurately.
• Document patient history in EMR in a timely manner.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens (blood, urine, oral swabs).
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal).
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting as needed.
• Perform basic clinical, aseptic, and laboratory procedures.
• Assist with Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, audiograms, PFT).
• Enforce HIPAA and OSHA compliance; maintain regulatory standards.
• Perform office procedures and general administrative tasks; operate equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance and CLIA waived requirements.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required.
