Job summary

Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is seeking a registered nurse to serve as the Transplant Coordinator, guiding patients and families from evaluation through post-transplant care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The coordinator ensures smooth evaluation flow, compassionate communication, and continuity of care to facilitate access to transplantation services.

This on-site role requires RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, RN Diploma and BSN preferred, and a minimum of 1

• No travel required; minimum 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transplant evaluation once referral is received.
• Collaborate with the medical team to plan care from evaluation to post-transplant.
• Communicate with patients and families with compassion and tact.
• Ensure timely access to transplantation services and continuity of care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Renal Transplant Coordinator is a professional registered nurse that performs a variety of clinical services and patient care activities in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the smooth flow of the transplant evaluation and post-transplant care process. The coordinator works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation for transplantation and continuing through and after transplantation in a compassionate and tactful manner in order to facilitate access to and provide continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• BSN preferred
• No Travel Required
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
