Job summary

Grand Lake Health System in St. Marys, Ohio is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Transitional Care Unit to deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.

The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and a focus on patient education and safety. You will participate in weekend/holiday rotations and may work across units as staffing requires, while maintaining high standards of care and professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN. BSN preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Direct patient teaching and guide Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Lead patient teaching and center care around the patient.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes.

Part-time - 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Every 3rd Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching. Places the patient at the center of care practices.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.

Requirements

• Ability to work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN. BSN preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
