Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current State Nursing License or licensure application in progress.
• BLS certification is required.
• Per Diem scheduling may require weekend or specific-hour commitments.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report pertinent observations, changes, and reactions to physicians and supervisors.
• Plan, implement and document health teaching with resident and/or family.
• Assess residents' condition and nursing needs; develop and revise individual care plans.
• Maintain nursing care standards per hospital nursing department policies.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to residents; administer direct care as needed.
• Assist physicians with resident rounds, procedures, and exams.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and legibly.
• Administer medications, including IVs, according to hospital policy.
• Demonstrate cost-conscious use of supplies and maintain equipment in a safe, clean condition.
