Job summary

Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane Valley is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology Staff Nurse to provide nursing care for patients receiving radiation therapy. You will educate patients, perform assessments, and support physicians in exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include nutrition counseling, adherence to the Compliance Program, and participation in quality initiatives. Current RN license in Washington, BCLS and ACLS required; oncology certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
• Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification (role specific).
• Experience and knowledge of medications used in cancer treatment.
• Maintain continuing education requirements.
• Oncology Certification preferred.

Cancer Care Northwest/Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse.

Job Summary:

The radiation oncology staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the nursing care provided to an assigned caseload of patients treated with radiation therapy in the radiation therapy department. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the radiation oncology department. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. Participates in companywide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
