Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina seeks an experienced RN Clinical Nurse IV to join as a Team Leader. You will educate, train, and oversee nursing staff while ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple units and locations.

Positions are full-time (36–40 hours/week) with incentives and relocation support. A BSN is required, NC RN licensure, and relevant experience with charge and precepting is preferred. Opportunities span several UNC Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• For magnet hospitals, professional certification relevant to the practice area within the probationary period is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as nursing Team Leader, providing education, training, and oversight to assigned nursing staff.
• Lead, teach, and care for patients across units such as Acute Care, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department, and more.

Requirements:

The following are general requirements for an RN Clinical Nurse IV, but each position may have it’s own requirements as well.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a school of professional nursing.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) forHealthcare Provider certification
• For positions at magnet hospitals, professional certification relevant to the practice area and on the ANCC Magnet-approved list is required within the probationary period of employment.

Professional Experience Requirements:

• Eighteen (18) months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting to include didactic and clinical experience in the area of assignment preferably with charge and precepting experience in the area of assignment.
