Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide highly professional nursing care with direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. The position supports the mission and goals of the Methodist Health System and involves a 12X3 night shift with a 36-hour week.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold a Texas nursing license (or eligibility), and possess current BLS certification, with at least six months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Provides direct nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensures safe medication and IV administration and timely written communication of patient information.
• Assists in patient/family education and supports professional growth and development.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
