Provident Behavioral Health in New Braunfels, TX, is seeking an experienced Surgical ICU Registered Nurse to provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill post-surgical patients in a fast-paced ICU. You will perform comprehensive assessments, manage life-support devices, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Role: Surgical ICU Registered Nurse providing expert, compassionate care to critically ill post-surgical patients in a fast-paced ICU setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for rapid changes in condition.
• Manage complex life-support needs, including ventilators and IV infusions/drips.
• Provide direct critical care nursing with safe, evidence-based clinical decision-making.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families, addressing questions and supporting understanding of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection prevention, and control standards.

Qualifications/skills
