Universal Health Services (UHS) operates Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA, where the RN Surgery role supports perioperative care and post-anesthesia recovery. The RN ensures patient safety, monitors vitals, administers interventions, and collaborates with surgical teams across the care continuum.

The position emphasizes certified nursing standards, ongoing education, and readiness to manage patients from infancy to geriatrics in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Competenze

• Current California RN License required.
• Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
• One year OR experience preferred.
• CNOR preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Mansioni

• Receives patient from Operating Room and other departments.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) Surgery

Located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services the Recovery Room Registered Nurse receives patient from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments. Monitors vital signs making necessary interventions as prescribed, within scope of nursing, by surgeon or anesthesiologist. May also assist in transport of patients to outpatient Surgery and surgical floors. Assists with monitor of IV sedation and localcases in the Operating Room. Able to provide competent care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through geriatric.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 259-bed community hospital network comprised of an acute care hospital and a rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Position Description:

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services and/or OR Manager and Charge Nurse, responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of all categories of nursing personnel. Functions as a sitter for safety and observation of patients when needed.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• Current California RN License required. Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
• Current A.C.L.S. certificate preferred. (Revised 11/29/07)
• One year prior OR experience preferred.
• C.N.O.R. preferred.
