DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position guides nursing staff and supports daily clinical operations to ensure safe and consistent care for residents. It involves communication, coordination, and supervision across multiple nursing functions. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Team Support: Mentor nursing personnel and encourage collaboration across all care areas
• Care Oversight: Review resident treatment needs and direct staff to maintain therapeutic environments
• Communication Duties: Provide updates to staff, families, and administrators as needed
• Staff Development: Coordinate training, reinforce policies, and track participation in improvement activities
• Record Management: Complete documentation, prepare reports, and supervise evaluations of nursing personnel

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires rotating on- and off-duty days, including weekends and holidays.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
