Job summary

Genesis is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee clinical operations on a shift, ensuring quality care and adherence to policies. You will guide care delivery and mentor staff while coordinating with other departments to maintain seamless service.

The role partners with the Director of Nursing to sustain 24/7 safe staffing, reduce overtime, and minimize agency reliance, while participating in recruiting, onboarding and staff progression processes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical operations of nursing units on assigned shift, ensuring policy and standard compliance.
• Facilitate care delivery model implementation, mentoring staff, and inter-department coordination.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain safe 24/7 staffing, minimizing overtime and agency use.
• Participate in staff recruitment, orientation, and make recommendations on promotions/transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
• Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, along with coordination and communication with other departments.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care with an emphasis on limiting use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
