Job summary

Westwood Center is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am to 7:00pm. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, coordinating staff, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

The RN Supervisor will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, lead shift operations, recruit and orient new staff, and strive to optimize staffing and minimize overtime while maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift.
• Mentor staff; coordinate care delivery with other departments.
• Ensure adequate nursing staff to provide 24/7 care while limiting overtime.
• Participate in staff recruitment, orientation, and promotions/terminations.

Responsibilities

The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction.

• Lead, guide and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
• Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, along with coordination and communication with other departments.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care with an emphasis on limiting use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
