Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all unit/department functions during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s mission and values.
What you will do in this role
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to create a teamwork-oriented environment
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounding, hourly rounds)
- Provide recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
- Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Bachelor’s Degree
