Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse Supervisor/Charge/Nurse Manager in Atlanta, GA to oversee nursing staff and operations at Fulton County Jail.

You will work with correctional officers and medical professionals to deliver high-quality care to residents with complex needs. The role requires Georgia RN licensure, 3–5 years of clinical experience (correctional experience preferred) and BLS.

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within Georgia.
• Must have 3–5 years of clinical experience; correctional healthcare preferred.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Integrity and professionalism with adherence to Code of Conduct and facility policies.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate healthcare delivery with HSA and DON and facility staff.
• Ensure nursing processes follow policies, procedures and accreditation standards.
• Communicate clearly with clients, peers and staff; maintain issue-resolution channels.
• Perform daily clinical rounds, provide direct patient care, triage and plan care.
• Oversee delivery of the nursing service program and supervise staff (LPNs, CNAs/MAs, EMTs, RNs).
• Assist with orientation and training of clinical personnel; mentor staff.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols with officers and healthcare teams.
• Fulfill contractual requirements for quality healthcare delivery.

Overview

NaphCare is hiring a Registered Nurse Supervisor/Charge/Nurse Manager to join our team of medical professionals in Atlanta, GA where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail.

As a Correctional Registered Nurse Supervisor/Charge/Nurse Manager, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence while also overseeing the nursing staff and operations, acting as a supervisor and coordinator. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Working cohesively with the HSA and DON in the coordination of the healthcare delivery system, as well as other function with the facility
• Using knowledge and expertise to ensure that nursing processes and systems are followed appropriately according to policies and procedures, company performance and accreditation standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, peers and employees at all levels with the organization. Maintain clear lines of communication throughout issue-resolution processes
• Conducting daily clinical rounds, providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services
• Coordinate, structure, implement adn guide the delivery of the nursing service program within the facility, including direct oversight, leadership, management, guidance, support, and evaluation of clinical performance by the LPNs, CNAs/MAs, EMTs and RNs.
• Assist with orientation and training activities of clinical personnel. Serve as a professional role model and mentor to motivate, develop, and retain nursing staff
• Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients
• Work in accordance with the HSA and DON to fulfill the contractual requirements for the delivery of quality healthcare

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within Georgia
• Must have a minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience within a healthcare setting, correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule and availability to work overtime when needed
• Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening

Physical Capabilities

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
