Qualifications

• Three years of RN experience OR a bachelor's degree in nursing with two years RN experience OR a master's degree in nursing/public health with two years RN experience OR a doctorate in nursing/public health with one year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and delivers resident care on assigned units, including shift coordination and direct patient care as needed.
• Supervises and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff, including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Ensures 24-hour continuity of care and a safe, effective environment for residents.
• Completes clinical documentation (RAI, MDS) and updates care plans as residents' needs evolve.
• Investigates and reports complaints, documenting findings and proposing corrective actions.

Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

• Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
• A bachelor's degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
• A master's degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
• A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties

• Plans, directs, and delivers resident care on assigned units, including shift coordination, staff reassignment, and direct patient care as needed (e.g., administering medications, treatments, and assessments).
• Supervises and evaluates performance of subordinate staff, including conducting performance evaluations, managing disciplinary actions, and supporting professional development through in-service training.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership and other departments to ensure 24-hour continuity of care and maintain a safe, effective environment for residents.
• Completes clinical documentation such as the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Minimum Data Set (MDS), and updates care plans based on residents' evolving needs.
• Investigates and reports complaints and unusual occurrences, documenting findings and proposing plans of action to Nursing Administration.

Compensation: Special Entrance Rate: $ 2712.80 BI-WEEKLY / $33.91 PER HOUR

Premium Pay: $7.00/HR - Worked Hours Only

Shift Differential: This position qualifies for shift differentials, with rates varying based on shift time, day of the week, and holidays.
