Job summary

McLaren Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Stepdown department to deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process and to collaborate with the healthcare team to uphold professional standards and patient/family centered care.

You will assess physical and psychosocial needs, plan and implement care, respond to patient changes, and continually evaluate outcomes while maintaining safety and supporting ongoing professional development in a demanding hospital environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure must be active in the state of Michigan.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACSL for required for certain units.
• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.
