Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established standards.

You will assess patients, develop a plan of care, implement the plan of care, and evaluate outcomes to meet the hospital's core mission. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active Georgia RN license, with 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia.
• ACLS/NIHSS/ASLS certifications obtained within required timelines.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per standards and practices.
• Assess patients and develop a care plan.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care.
• Attend mandatory in-services and maintain competency.
• Adhere to attendance, punctuality and departmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with the team to support hospital mission.
• Demonstrate age-specific patient care and customer service as needed.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - preferred

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required)
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred)

Work Experience

• 1 - 2 years Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications Required

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license
• Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) or Georgia Stroke Core Curriculum (GSCC) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be obtained within 2 years of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained prior to completing unit orientation

Essential Functions

• Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
• Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
• Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
• For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
