Job Description Summary

• Responsible for the delivery of ICU patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process with focus on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through patient privacy and respectful professional behavior.
• Participate in shared governance, peer review, professional development promoting leadership and clinical excellence, and effective team skills.
• Coordinate effective delivery of patient care services through care management principles and identify clinical priorities to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing.

• License to practice in the Commonwealth of South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; CCRN preferred.
• Ability to function in a professional practice model, participate in shared governance, and demonstrate critical thinking.
