Job summary

archcarecareers is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care on a unit during shifts. The RN will receive shift reports, monitor residents, and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation.

Responsibilities include evaluating resident progress, coordinating with Nurse Manager, and following DOH regulations and physician orders. BSN preferred, associate degree required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NY State Registered Nurse License.
• BSN preferred as a qualification.

Responsibilities

• Receives report from previous shift and ensures all pertinent information for residents is conveyed.
• Continuously evaluates residents' behavior, symptoms, and progress; discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications per policies, orders, and DOH regulations.
• Performs treatments according to physician orders and established procedures.
• Discusses needing to discontinue or adjust medications with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications and coordinates with pharmacy to ensure accuracy of dosages.
