Qualifications

• RN required with active license
• BLS within 30 days of employment start date
• Full-time position in same day recovery
• 8, 9, or 10 hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership
• Assess patient condition and document changes
• Educate patients and families about medical condition and follow-up
