Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient/ED roles to protect, promote and restore health across the care continuum. You will collaborate with providers and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, assess symptoms, and provide psychological support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS required before start date.
• Education: BSN preferred.
• Experience: RN in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Other: EMR and Microsoft Office basic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in hospital inpatient/ED settings 24/7 in collaboration with the care team.
• Promote health and wellness, coordinate care across the continuum, and support patients and families.
• Mentor teammates and uphold professional standards and best practices.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Required Qualifications

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
