Job summary

Care Initiatives Iowa is seeking a Weekend Package Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents in our skilled nursing communities. Shifts are Friday to Sunday, 6AM-6PM, with competitive wage and weekend premium.

You will support daily clinical operations, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with CNAs, LPNS, and providers to ensure safety and quality care. Requires valid Iowa RN license, CPR, and knowledge of long-term care regulations; compassionate,

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal/state long-term care regulations.
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
