Assist physician with patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments according to established protocols. Administer medications via intra-muscular injections and intravenously including the administration of chemotherapy as directed by physician order. Coordinate patient care through the triage of patient telephone calls regarding urgency of appointments, scheduling, and hospital admissions according to established protocols. Promote patient population wellness by providing patient education materials pursuant to physician orders and communicating physician advice and instructions to patients. Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, and appropriate medical data in patient medical record according to established protocols. Successfully uses IDX, EMR and other computer applications to accomplish tasks according to policies and procedures.Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.Working Relationship: Works directly with patients and/or customers.
