Where You Will Work:

As a VAT team member, you will work throughout the hospital, providing specialized vascular access services to patients across many inpatientareas, including critical care, medical-surgical, and specialty areas. We areresponsible for assessingvascular access needs, placing PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs, as wellas troubleshooting and maintaining existing vascular access devices. Our team will also be responsible for daily central line assessments,dressing changes, review of line necessity, and communication with providers about line removal.Teammates must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determinethe most appropriate vascular access devicetypefor individualpatient-specific needs.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years critical care nursing experience
• Previousexperience with ultrasound-guidedperipheral IV placement
• Completion of the ultrasound-guided IV class
• Experience with PICC and midline insertion would be a plus
• ACLS certification preferred

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
