Job description
The registered nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and provides leadership on the unit, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor, or RN Coordinator. The RN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. The RN utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments concerning basic and comprehensive needs of multiple patients in order to facilitate appropriate and timely care.

$74,910 - $92,536 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Required: Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Required: 6 months in a clinical area.
1 year KSC experience may be considered in lieu of 6 months RN experience with approval from Sr Dir Nursing Services.
Preferred: Two years of ambulatory care
Required: Current and valid Texas RN license.
Preferred: Specialty nursing certification in ambulatory care or one appropriate to the specialty area assigned.
Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population for the assigned clinical area. Including CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy. Computer experience.
Preferred: Windows-based computer skills. EPIC experience.
Required: Current BLS through American Heart Association.
Preferred: ACLS and/or PALS.
