Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse for a part-time, 20 hour per week role with a Monday–Friday 11am–9pm and weekend rotation schedule. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and perform nursing processes to ensure safe, developmentally appropriate care for children and their families.

Minimum 12 months RN experience is required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with 12 months of experience required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in GA or multi-state via Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• BLS within 30 days of employment; PALS within 1 year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process across the care continuum to deliver age and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care.
• Integrates values and language preferences into healthcare delivery through culturally sensitive care.
• Uses clinical decision support tools to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plans as needed.
• Documents healthcare data using appropriate documentation tools.
• Provides patient and family education aligned with identified learning needs.
• Delivers safe, effective, and financially responsible nursing care.

Job Description

The hours of operations are Monday-Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-7pm. Part-time is 2 shifts per week and you would work a combination of weekdays and weekends (20 hours per week). Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Experience 12 months RN experience required.

Completes orientation and Initial Assessment of Competency successfully by determined due date. Completes mandatory education and annual competency assessment requirements as defined by unit and system by due date. 75% attendance at staff meetings, if applicable.
