Advocate Health's Advocate Medical Group in Park Ridge, IL seeks a registered nurse to join a patient-focused team. You will apply the nursing process to coordinate comprehensive care, delivering safe, therapeutic interventions.

Schedule includes 5x8s or 4x10s with rotating day off; you’ll work across locations in the Chicago area, upholding evidence-based practice and compassionate patient care while contributing to a culture of innovation and quality.

Formación

• RN license in the state of practice
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts (8:30am-5:00pm) or 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00am-5:30pm) with 1 rotating day off per week
• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication while leading safety and quality initiatives
• Support a nurse-driven culture dedicated to patient safety, exceptional care, and continuous improvement across the care continuum

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Minimumof 2yearof RN experienceis preferred.

Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, andskillscommunication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Locations:

Two Park Ridge locations, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, and Glenview.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.

• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.

• Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.

• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.

• Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.

• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.

• May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.

• Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

• Physical Abilities Testing may berequired.

• Additionaldepartment specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
