Job summary

HealthNet, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Team Lead to coordinate nursing and interdisciplinary teams at our Indianapolis health center. You’ll manage daily care assignments, provide on-site clinical support, and communicate policy changes to staff.

The role requires RN licensure in Indiana, BLS, and supervisory experience; outpatient experience is a plus. Full-time hours include a rotating schedule, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires knowledge of policies, and procedures of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily care assignments and operations of HealthNet's Health Centers.
• Provide on-site supervision of Nursing/PCA staff to facilitate operations for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist all units/staff with problem-solving to obtain necessary equipment, medications, and supplies on an as needed basis.
• Evaluate staffing plans for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist charge nurses with clinical assessments as needed.
• Evaluate/make decisions about staffing plans and schedules.
• Communicate and problem solve with the Manager or Clinical Services as needed.
• Apply a minimum of one health literacy method when communicating with patients/clients.

What you’ll do as a Registered Nurse Team Lead at HealthNet:

Physical Requirements:

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull equipment, light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Will be exposed to all patient elements.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
