HealthTrust Workforce Solutions in Bradenton, Florida, seeks an RN Supervisor to lead the Vascular Access team. The role coordinates care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, performing ultrasound-guided PICC, midlines, IVs, and other venous access procedures.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure, 2+ years of supervisory experience, vascular/ICU background, and CRNI or VABC certification; BLS/ACLS with PALS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• RN with valid state license required.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or managerial experience.
• 2 years acute vascular or ICU experience.
• Preferred CRNI or VABC certification.

Responsibilities

• Insert PICC, Midline, and IV catheters.
• Allocate efficient use of available resources.
• Providing routine staff and facility education.
• Establishes excellent rapport and working relationships with all customers, both internally and externally.
• Position schedule is Monday through Friday.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide care for the patient while performing and monitoring the clinical insertion of a PICC, Midline, Peripheral IV Catheters, and other venous access devices.
• Vascular access skills will be trained to a strong Critical care nurse and leader.

The Vascular Access Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) who assists the vascular access manager and helps coordinates the vascular access Service Team. This position is responsible for the coordination and provision of care for the patient (Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal) while performing and monitoring the clinical insertion of a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC), Midline Catheters, Peripheral IV Catheters and other venous access devices inserted with and without the use of ultrasound guidance, in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital/department policies of HealthTrust Vascular Access Services

Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Insert PICC, Midline, and IV catheters

• Position will include the planning, coordination, and provision of care for the patient while performing and monitoring the clinical insertion of a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC), Midline Catheters, Peripheral IV Catheters, and other venous access devices inserted with and without the use of ultrasound guidance.

• Vascular access skills will be trained to a strong Critical care nurse and leader.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and State RN Licensure required.

Experience:

• prefer 2 yrs supervisor or manager experience (will be managing RNs, supervisors and CNC approx 15 to 20 team size)

• should have 2 yrs acute vascular or icu experience as will be performing cases 30% of the time.

• Prefer Vascular access CRNI or VABC certification

Certificate/Licensure:

• Prefer Vascular access CRNI or VABC certification

• BLS, ACLS required and PALS credentials required within 60 days

• Active Registered Nursing Licensure required
