Tenet Healthcare's Detroit Medical Center Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Stroke/TBI unit in Detroit. The RN will lead nursing care for a patient group with collaborative physician involvement and supervise/teach the nursing team.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure and AHA BLS. The position emphasizes leadership, teamwork and quality patient outcomes within a dynamic rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.

Job Summary / Description

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Patient Care Services Team, and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members including ancillary and support services. The role of the Registered Nurse at the DMC encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching and supervision.

The DMC RN:

Facility Description:

DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is one of the nation's largest hospitals specializing in rehabilitation medicine and research. RIM is known for its clinical expertise in spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputee, orthopedics and catastrophic injury care. The Institute houses the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery and the Southeast Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), one of only 16 federally designated model systems of care for brain injury care and research. RIM also operates 31 outpatient sites throughout southeast Michigan specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics.
