Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for the Special Procedures Department to provide clinical expertise in a procedural environment and deliver high-quality patient care.

You will assess and plan care for invasive radiology patients, assist physicians, ensure equipment and room readiness, monitor patients, and administer medications per orders in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact licensure with active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients.
• Assist physicians in procedures.
• Identify and ensure equipment is available and room is prepared for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document findings.
• Continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition; act accordingly.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.

• You will assist physicians in procedures.

• You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.

• You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.

• You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.

• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
