Job summary

Premier Health's Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shift 7am-7:30pm, 72 hours per pay, in the Cardiac Medical Advanced Care unit. A sign-on bonus is offered.

The CN supports patient and family outcomes through evidence-based nursing care, coordinates the care team, and adheres to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. BSN preferred; valid Ohio RN license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Previous hospital-based RN experience preferred.
• Must multitask with interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards for a patient caseload.

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education

Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Valid Ohio RN license

Experience

Previous hospital-based RN experience is preferred.
