Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Intermediate Care Step Down Unit (SDU) Registered Nurse to join our team. The SDU RN will apply the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and collaborate with physicians and the care team.

Requirements include a current Oklahoma RN license, BLS within 14 days, ACLS certification, and preferred 1+ year SDU/Step-Down experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.

• Monitor patient status and ensure safety and quality of care.

The Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for using the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide care to assigned patients. Responsible and accountable for identifying and prioritizing needs, formulating the plan of care, prioritizing/managing/delegating interventions, and collaborating with the physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One or more years of experience in a Step-Down Unit
• Med/Surg experience with an aptitude for developing new skills will be considered
