Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking a School Nurse (RN) in Indianapolis to provide direct care for students, manage medications, and develop care plans. The role supports health and safety within the school environment and requires a valid Indiana RN license and CPR certification.

The RN will collaborate with school staff, health services, and families, delivering education on wellness and disease prevention while ensuring compliance with state health regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric/school health or community health nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs.
• Educate students, staff and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention and wellness.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support students' well-being.
