Job summary

Advocate Healths Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit in Park Ridge, IL is a 25-bed unit providing telemetry monitoring and ventilator support for diverse medical, surgical, and cardiac patients. The position is part-time (24 hours/week) with a 7p-7a schedule and EO weekends, rotating holidays.

Required are an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience; Vent experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Requires 1 year minimum of Medical/Surgical nursing experience to be considered.
• Vent experience highly desired.

Where You Will Work:

25-bed unit that provides nursing care to a wide scope of diverse patient populations requiring telemetry monitoring related to medical, surgical or cardiac-related issues or also requiring ventilator support in our Magnet-designated, level 1 trauma, teaching hospital. Excellent nursing culture and exposure to patients with diverse and complex medical issues to build the skills and knowledge and grow in your nursing career.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS within 6 months of hire
