Job summary

Four Oaks is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support youth in our Residential Treatment programs in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role focuses on building trust, coordinating medical care, and advocating for the health needs of young people.

You'll oversee medication management, coordinate medical and behavioral health services, and train staff in health policies. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing and RN license are required, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with youth while assessing and responding to their medical needs.
• Provide medical triage and determine when additional evaluation or treatment is necessary.
• Coordinate medical, psychiatric, and psychological appointments and services.
• Oversee medication management, including safe distribution, storage, and destruction of prescribed medications.
• Review medication errors and lead continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation practices.
• Develop and maintain health-related policies and procedures that support safe care.
• Identify and appropriately report medical, safety, and public health concerns.
• Provide supervision and oversight of the Health Services Department.
• Serve as a nursing resource for program staff when medical questions or concerns arise.
• Train staff in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, and other health-related policies and procedures.

As our Registered Nurse, you'll oversee and coordinate the healthcare needs of youth in our residential programs while serving as an important resource for the staff supporting them every day.
