AdventHealth Apopka is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our dialysis unit. The role provides critical care duties, patient assessments, and treatment administration in a fast-paced environment. Join a faith-based system focused on whole-person care and community healing.

Job Description

Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20%* through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

About the Campus

AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 158-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades.

Schedule

Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts (plus one additional shift for night on-call for after hours coverage). Shift: Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Position will require occasional float to Minneola and Apopka.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Rinses, primes, and positions equipment, attaches tubing, prepares dialysate, calibrates alarms, sets monitors, and performs system checks.
• Provides critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Performs patient assessments prior to treatment and proceeds based on assessments and physician’s orders.
• Obtains blood samples and other specimens as indicated or ordered.
• Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered by the physician and according to policies.
• Assess and provide care for patients related to blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications: Associate of Science degree in Nursing Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Dialysis nursing experience Experience with Acute/Inpatient dialysis Medical/surgical, ICU, CCU, and ER experience Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
