Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK seeks a day shift, full-time Recovery Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced perioperative setting. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for post-anesthesia patients.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing education, Oklahoma RN license, and be prepared to obtain BLS within 14 days, with ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Oklahoma RN license.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process for all assigned patients.
• Supervise, delegate, and coordinate unit personnel when in charge.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel from other departments.

Position has the responsibility for supporting the mission, vision, values of the hospital; demonstrating the knowledge and skills to carry out the nursing process when providing care to all patients; meeting the established standards of the AORN nursing practice in supervising, delegating, and coordinating personnel assigned to the unit when in charge; promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Multi State or Oklahoma RN license
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS within 6 months of date of hirePALS within 6 months of date of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One or more current years of acute care experience as a RN with (1) year peri-operative nursing experience
