Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Special Procedures Radiology RN in Tyler, TX. Join a team where focus is on high-quality patient care and collaboration with Radiology and IR staff.

Responsibilities include direct patient care using the nursing process and assisting Radiologists in IR procedures for adults, seniors, and children. Requires Texas RN license, ADN/ Diploma/ BSN, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ Diploma/BSN).
• Texas RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct patient care using the nursing process for a defined group.
• Assist Radiologist with procedures in the IR department.
• Care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients; work with ionizing radiation and imaging modalities.

• UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• The IR Registered Nurse assists the Radiologist with procedures performed in the IR Department.
• The patient population contains adults, geriatric and pediatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Completion of Associates Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing
• Must maintain current Texas RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred Job Requirements

• One-year critical care or procedural experience
