Loyola Medicine in Maywood is seeking a dedicated RN to join our radiology care team. You will provide nursing support across CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and breast imaging, including pre/post procedure assessments and sedation monitoring.

Qualifications

• RN must have a degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN).
• BLS certification required before hire.
• Illinois RN license required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiology patient care across imaging procedures including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and breast imaging support.
• Monitor sedation and recovery; assist pre- and post-procedure assessments.
• Rapidly identify patient deterioration and escalate per protocols.
• Educate patients about procedures, risks, and consent; communicate with interdisciplinary teams.

• Radiology RN's
• Coverage areas are all imaging procedures which include CT; MRI; Fluoroscopy; Nuclear Medicine; Breast Imaging support of variety of procedures which can include pre/post calls; anesthesia/sedation recovery; etc

Clinical & Technical Skills

• IV access (including difficult access patients)
• Medication administration
• Sedation monitoring & recovery
• Pre- and post-procedure assessment which includes clearance (lab)
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Basic telemetry rhythm recognition

Critical Thinking & Safety

• Rapid identification of patient deterioration
• Ability to elevate appropriately (RRT, code protocols)
• Infection prevention (especially procedural breast imaging)

Patient Care & Communication

• High-level patient education (procedures, risks, consent support)
• Anxiety management
• Strong interdisciplinary communication

What Registered Nurse RN Will Need

• A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
• BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
