Job summary

Paradise Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient psychiatric care on a Per Diem basis in National City, California. Responsibilities include assessing needs, coordinating bed reservations, and advising physicians during hospitalization.

Qualifications require current RN license, BCLS, and 2+ years in inpatient psychiatric care with care coordination experience. BSN/MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have current valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
• BSN/Master’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience with Inpatient Psychiatric Care and two (2) years’ experience in coordinating level of care assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of walk-in and phone callers and ensures their referral to the service or resource that best addresses those needs.
• Coordinates and prioritizes in-patient bed reservations and placement; ensure the seamless admission of the patient to the appropriate level of care.
• Is responsible for advising, informing and assisting the physician and the physician’s office before and during hospitalization; informs them of hospital policies and procedures relative to their patient’s stay.

Pay Transparency

Paradise Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $60.00 to $60.00. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
