Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. The RN provides safe, competent nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring of vitals using established protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Florida RN licensure is required or eligible for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to assess patient needs and plan care.
• Administer IVs and medications; monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes.

Demonstrates professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while providing the foundation of all patient‑centered nursing care. Communicates with physicians and other nursing staff about patient needs, administering IV’s and medications to aid in patient health and using medical equipment to monitor patient vital signs.
