Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's MidState Medical Center is actively hiring PCU Registered Nurses to support our Medical/Surgical PCU units across hours and shifts. The role includes a Nurse Residency and opportunities to practice at the top of the nursing license in a patient‑centered environment.

Qualified candidates hold a Connecticut RN license, BLS certification, and have acute care experience. We offer robust benefits, competitive scheduling, and dedicated professional development for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association
• One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• PCU Registered Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license using evidence-based practices and participate in a PCU Nurse Residency program
• Provide patient care in the PCU units with focus on safety and quality, across shifts
• Contribute to the care team and support ongoing professional development and learning
