Job summary

Riverside Health in Saluda, VA is looking for an RN/LPN to support nursing leadership under the Director of Nursing. You will assess, plan, implement, and deliver resident care while coordinating with families and staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include assigning duties, developing and evaluating care plans, ensuring resident safety, and following facility policies. Virginia RN licensure and CPR/BLS within 30 days are required; weekend and irregular shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year 6 Months Long Term Care (LTC) Experience (Required)
• 2 years LPN Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Assisted Living (AL) Setting (Preferred)
• 1 year RN Nursing Experience (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)

Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.

Overview

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. Assesses, plans, implements, and executes delivery of resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service to assure positive resident outcomes. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.
