Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Venice is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the nursing process, deliver and supervise patient care, and coordinate discharge planning on our hospital unit.

The role includes interdisciplinary planning, patient and family education, and connecting patients with community resources. ACLS certification is required within 90 days, with BLS also required; Charge Nurse duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state or compact licensure
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (ACLS must be AHA approved)

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Access community resources and participate in interdisciplinary planning; may perform Charge Nurse duties.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
