Job summary

Select Medical seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and involves taking admissions, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, and providing education to patients and families while ensuring accurate documentation and timely medication orders.

Ideal candidates hold a valid State RN license, BLS and ACLS at hire, with clinical experience in critical care or acute hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS certification is required at hire.
• Clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document accurately using appropriate systems.
• Interpret labs and telemetry data as needed.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed correctly.
• Respond to rapid response and code events when needed.
• Educate patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
