Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care consistent with facility philosophy.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care responsibilities.
• Complete assessments and document patient care daily.
• Facilitate safe medication practices and patient education.
• Direct response to crisis/emergency situations.
• Participate in patient care plan development.
• Oversee mental health technicians during patient care.
• Accountable for assigned nursing care activities.
• May serve as Charge Nurse as needed.

Roxbury Treatment Center is looking for Per Diem RNs. Requirement: (4) 12's per month.

Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults, as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Registered nurses will work on our Adolescent, Adult Mental Health Units, and Substance Use Disorder Unit.

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift.
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans.
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities.
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
